Australia emerged victorious against the previously undefeated host, India, securing a 6-wicket win in the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup final and clinching their sixth world cricket championship.
During the decisive match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, Australian batsmen Travis Head and Labushin showcased a remarkable batting performance, thwarting India’s aspirations and bestowing the World Cup 2023 title upon Australia.

In the coin toss, Australian captain Pat Cummins opted to bowl. Responding to Australia’s invitation to bat first, the entire Indian team was dismissed for 240 runs in 50 overs. KL Rahul contributed 66 runs, while Virat Kohli added 54 runs to the scoreboard.
Australia easily beat India by 241 runs in 43 overs thanks to the brilliant batting of Travis Head and Labuchin.

Travis Head delivered a remarkable performance, scoring 137 runs from 120 balls, while Labushin contributed 58 runs and remained undefeated.
It’s worth noting that Australia secured their sixth ICC ODI World Cup title, with previous victories in 1987, 1999, 2003, 2007, 2015, and now in 2023.
