LAHORE – Ex-lead of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), and Test Cricketer Ijaz Butt passed away in the provincial metropolis Lahore, his family verified Thursday.
Butt, recognized for his significant input to Pakistan cricket, had been unwell for a period, his son-in-law conveyed to the nearby press.

Messages of sympathy began arriving following the death of the former PCB head. The Pakistan Cricket Board also expressed their sorrow over the loss of the former Test player and former chairman of PCB, Ijaz Butt.

The octogenarian participated in eight Test games between 1959 and 1962. Many years following his withdrawal from top-tier cricket, Butt functioned as the head of innovative endeavors.
