The new H6 presents a polarizing appearance, particularly at the front, where its large grille has been replaced by a distinctive and sleek closed beak design. According to reports from various media outlets, this new SUV is set to make its debut in the third quarter of 2023.
Despite its resemblance to a mid-cycle facelift, the prevailing notion is to label it as the latest-generation H6. Haval’s impressive lineup in China includes popular models such as the H6, Big Dog, Shenshou, Chitu, Jolion, and H9, as listed on their official website. Among these, the H6 stands as the brand’s best-selling model, with an impressive 75,869 units sold from January to May, including 14,793 units in May alone.

The upcoming SUV will offer a choice between a 1.5L turbocharged engine and a 2.0L turbo four-cylinder engine. The 2.0T variant will deliver an impressive 211 horsepower, while the 1.5T model is expected to produce approximately 150 horsepower. Additionally, Haval’s H6 PHEV model will incorporate GWM’s cutting-edge Hi4 hybrid technology, allowing for a combined power output of 260+ horsepower.

Notably, the new Haval H6 will feature a distinct design element at the rear, foregoing joint-strip taillights as evident in photos found on the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) website. Instead, black strips will connect the taillights, complemented by rectangular exhaust outlets positioned underneath. Furthermore, customers will have the option to choose between 18-inch and 19-inch wheels, while a panoramic sunroof will be available as an added feature.
