Restore PIA Flights to US, EU
Today, the minister presided over a meeting at the Finance Division to discuss matters concerning Civil Aviation. During the meeting, the Secretary of Aviation provided a detailed overview of the challenges confronting the aviation sector, which encompassed regulatory issues, service delivery, security, and the need to strengthen the state’s capabilities in aviation.
During the meeting, practical solutions were explored to address these issues without compromising the provision of services, aiming to elevate the standards of aviation in Pakistan to align with international practices. Furthermore, the gathering delved into the legal and financial challenges encountered by the aviation sector in this regard. It also involved discussions on the potential prospects and opportunities that lie ahead.
The finance minister expressed his admiration for the initiatives and endeavors undertaken to enhance the aviation standards within the country. He also reiterated his commitment to providing support to the aviation sector.

The meeting was attended by notable individuals including Khawaja Saad Rafique, the Federal Minister for Aviation and Railways, Senator Azam Nazir Tarar, the Federal Minister for Law & Justice, Tariq Bajwa, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Finance, the Attorney General of Pakistan, the Secretary of Aviation, the Secretary of Law and Justice, the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the Director General of the Airport Security Force (ASF), as well as senior officers from the Finance and Aviation departments.
