The weather experts said that there will be rain and light thunderstorms in Islamabad starting today (Friday).
According to the latest information, a weather system from the west is affecting the western areas of the country. It is expected to move over the upper and central regions in the evening and night.
Rain with thunder in Islamabad today
As per the current conditions, the experts mentioned that Islamabad and the Potohar region will experience rain and slight thunderstorms on Friday. Additionally, the mountainous areas in the northern parts of the country will see snow.
At 12:00 PM, the weather got to 18 degrees Celsius, but it’s supposed to get cooler later in the evening after some rain.
The air’s wetness was measured at about 46 percent in the city. The wind was going at 2-3 kilometers per hour. The highest UV Index was 3, which means it’s moderate, and you can see about 3 kilometers ahead.
The air in the main city of the country was measured at 224, showing that it’s not good for health.
Doctors mentioned that people who can easily get sick should stay inside and not go outside.
People who are usually healthy might find it hard to breathe and have throat problems. It’s better for them to stay inside and plan outdoor activities for another time.

Mostly chilly and somewhat cloudy conditions are anticipated in the majority of northern and central areas of the country.
However, there might be light rain or drizzle in specific locations in the northeastern part of Balochistan, southern and central Punjab, and lower Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
During the night, there is a possibility of light rain or drizzle (light snow over mountains) in isolated spots in Kashmir, Islamabad, the Pothohar region, northern Punjab, and northern Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
