Twitter’s recent alteration, now called X, surprised users in October 2023 by removing the headline or text from the preview card of a web link post on the platform.
However, the company has decided to reverse this change.
Display Headlines in Link Posts on X
Elon Musk, who owns X, mentioned that they are reinstating the display of headlines or text in the preview card for web links.
In a post on X, Elon Musk announced that an update would be released soon, featuring a headline at the top of the image in the web link’s preview card.
However, he did not specify the duration of this update.

Elon Musk didn’t clarify why he altered his decision. It’s important to mention that in October, when text was taken out from the preview card, Elon Musk mentioned it would enhance the appearance of posts. The function to eliminate headlines from link posts was introduced in August 2023.
